The study found that being able to bet anytime, anywhere, and the privacy of using a phone were big reasons why people were betting impulsively and causing themselves short-term harm. This shows that the things that make betting on your phone easy and private might also make it more dangerous.  The study also found that the more offers and betting options people had, the more they gambled and the more likely they were to have problems with it.  Surprisingly, the study showed that while betting from home made people bet more, it didn't always make gambling problems worse. This means that not all aspects of easy access to gambling have the same effect on people.
